We are currently seeking a Statistical Scientist to join our Biostatistics & Medical Writing (BMW) Real World Evidence team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of Real World Evidence projects, supporting study design, statistical analysis, programming, reporting and scientific communication activities. You will work closely with colleagues across Biostatistics & Medical Writing, contributing to the delivery of high-quality statistical outputs for clients while supporting proposal activities, publications and departmental initiatives.
The role is ideally suited to someone with strong SAS programming skills, proficiency in R, and a passion for applying statistical methods to healthcare and research data.
What You Will Be Doing
Contribute to project conception and study design activities.
Support proposal development for both full-service and statistics-only projects.
Perform statistical analyses using SAS and R.
Develop and maintain SAS programs for data manipulation, analysis and reporting.
Create variables, perform data merges and prepare analytical datasets.
Apply appropriate statistical procedures to support project objectives.
Use advanced SAS techniques such as repeated measures, survival analysis, SAS/Graph, advanced macros or similar methodologies.
Develop outputs including tables, graphs and project deliverables.
Support scientific communication activities including conference presentations and publications.
Participate in professional activities and technical conferences.
Attend weekly BMW meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Support Directors and members of the Executive Team with BMW initiatives.
Contribute to budgeting and scope development activities with appropriate oversight.
Adhere to departmental SOPs and quality standards.
Undertake other reasonably related duties as required.
Travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 5%).

Your Profile
You will bring strong statistical programming skills together with an interest in Real World Evidence and healthcare research.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Mathematics, Public Health or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience working with statistical analyses and healthcare or research data.
Strong SAS programming skills, including:
Data step programming
Conditional statements and variable creation
Data merges and concatenation
Output Delivery System (ODS)
Statistical procedures
Experience using advanced SAS techniques such as repeated measures analysis, survival analysis, SAS/Graph or advanced macros.
Proficiency in R programming.
Ability to develop statistical outputs, tables and graphs.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience within a Real World Evidence environment.
Knowledge of epidemiology, health economics, patient-reported outcomes or related disciplines.
Experience participating in conference presentations, publications or scientific communications.
Experience supporting proposal or business development activities.
