The Team
The Change Centre of Excellence (COE), part of the Portfolio & Governance Office, is the driving force behind effective change management at Springer Nature Technology. We empower our organisation to navigate the complexities of transformation by focusing on the human side of change.

About the job
The Change Manager will be key in building and growing the influence of the Change Centre of Excellence.
This role focuses on:
Developing and implementing change management plans and strategies to help teams adapt to new processes and technologies.
Contributing to, and helping lead, standard practice that works for the organisation.
Growing capability and improving change maturity by sharing expertise and coaching others.
The role has a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, communication and coaching.
The Change Manager will enable changes to be more effectively adopted across the organisation.
The position requires experience of managing change to successful outcomes with minimal disruption to the people impacted and involves close collaboration with the director and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Collaborate with the CoE Director and team members to identify, assess and manage change impacts on people, processes and technology
Utilise change management methodologies to create and execute effective change management plans, ensuring alignment with CoE approach and organisational goals
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans
Plan, create, and deliver the support materials and training that help people navigate change with confidence
Facilitate stakeholder engagement through effective communication strategies, training sessions, and workshops to foster buy-in and support for changes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of change initiatives into daily operations
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of change management initiatives, providing feedback and recommendations to improve outcomes
Monitor and manage change-related issues and concerns
Collaborate with senior leadership to align change initiatives with business goals
Develop and maintain change management documentation
Support the development of a culture that is adaptable, flexible, and sees opportunity in change, keeping the people affected closest to the centre of how we plan, launch, and sustain it.
Craft compelling narratives that connect change initiatives to the people and purpose behind them, making the case for change clear and motivating.
About You
Extensive experience managing change, preferably in the tech or publishing sectors
Proven track record of successfully leading change initiatives in large, complex organisations
Experience and practical application of change management methodologies
Strong capability in stakeholder management and building relationships with cross-functional teams at all levels
Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, training sessions and presentations effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to assess the impact of changes and develop mitigation plans
Ability to develop and execute communication plans
Ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of change initiatives
Your qualifications
Certification in change management (or equivalent experience)
Certification in project management (desirable)
Certified coach (advantageous)
