Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting operating room areas in accordance with established safety and infection prevention standards. This role plays an important part in supporting the health and well-being of patients, physicians, and staff. Type of Opportunity: Full time Job Exempt: No Job is based: Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center Work Shift: Evenings (United States of America)Responsibilities:
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of the OR rooms and prepares rooms for the next case.
• Cleans and disinfects floors according to required protocols.
• Moves equipment and furniture in OR rooms in accordance with cleaning procedures.
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
• Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. Obtains and maintains OR cleaning certification.
• Buffs, strips, waxes, polishes, and top scrubs floors.
• Performs regular housekeeping duties in non-patient OR areas.
Qualifications:
Education: Less than a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience and successful completion of the Operating Room Training Program within nine months of hire.
