Dryfold Worker

The Dryfold worker is responsible for taking items from the linen bins and using the ironing or folding machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Feed clean hospital linen into folding machines 

• Meet production numbers depending on machine

• Ensure items are folded and place on the appropriate cart or table.

• Monitor items and work area to ensure all quality and safety standards are meet.

• Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.

• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Ability to work in a noisy fast paced environment.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and reach for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• High School Education, GED and formal education / training preferred.

• 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry.

• Previous experience with folding machines.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Physical and mental ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay starts at $16.25 an hour
