About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Applications will be accepted until 10/15/2026.

About the Role

The Slack business is scaling fast, and the policies, deal structures, and compensation frameworks that power our go-to-market motion sit largely outside of Slack — inside Salesforce's central Sales Operations (SOPS), Global Incentive Compensation (GIC), and Deal Desk functions. We're hiring a Sr. Director (or higher), Strategic Ops to serve as the critical bridge between the Slack Center of Excellence (COE), the Slack Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and these core cross-functional teams.
This role translates Slack's strategic priorities into actionable policy influence at the highest levels of the organization. The ideal candidate operates with executive-level judgment, navigates complex organizational dynamics with ease, and drives alignment across teams that directly shape how Slack goes to market.

Key Responsibilities

* Serve as the primary point of contact between the Slack COE/ELT and SOPS, GIC, and Deal Desk — ensuring Slack's interests are represented in cross-functional policy and process decisions throughout the year (including G4G planning cycles)
* Influence and shape operational policy on behalf of Slack leadership, advocating for GTM strategies that accelerate growth and remove seller friction
* Drive alignment on deal structure, compensation design, and quoting policy in close partnership with Deal Desk, GIC, and SOPS
* Synthesize inputs from the field, COE, and ELT into compelling, data-backed narratives that influence stakeholder decisions
* Proactively identify gaps in policy or process that create headwinds for the Slack business, and lead resolution efforts end-to-end
* Act as the main business partner to this function's counterpart hires (e.g., partnering closely with peers who liaise on Strategic Ops, Comp, and Deal Desk from the COE into central teams), ensuring a consistent, unified voice for Slack across all central operating functions

Ideal Profile

* Deep understanding of Salesforce's internal operating model across SOPS, GIC, and Deal Desk
* Track record of influencing without direct authority at the executive level
* Strong communicator who can operate fluidly between strategic vision and operational detail
* Experience in sales strategy, GTM operations, or a senior field-facing role within Slack or the broader Salesforce organization
* Comfortable working cross-functionally in a matrixed org, with the credibility to represent Slack leadership in rooms where policy gets decided

Reporting

This role reports directly to @Zach Ciliotta-Young, and partners closely with the Slack COE and ELT, working in close coordination with counterparts reporting into central operating leadership (e.g., under Randy), ensuring the Slack business has a consistent, well-represented voice across SOPS, GIC, and Deal Desk.
