Compliance Transformation AI Intern

Join Manulife Singapore's Compliance team and help shape the future of responsible AI within a regulated financial services environment. As a Compliance Transformation AI Intern, you will work alongside Compliance, Technology and Business leaders to support the development, implementation, governance and adoption of AI-powered solutions across Compliance.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AI transformation, AI governance, investigations, regulatory reporting and compliance innovation. You will contribute to initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen governance, improve decision-making and support responsible AI adoption while maintaining regulatory confidence and customer trust.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support the design, testing and implementation of AI-powered solutions and Copilot agents across Compliance functions, including investigations, AML/KYC assessment, assurance and regulatory reporting.
• Assist in translating compliance, regulatory and business requirements into practical AI-enabled solutions, workflows and automation opportunities.
• Research emerging AI technologies, industry trends and regulatory developments relating to AI governance, Responsible AI and financial services.
• Support AI governance activities, including AI risk assessments, control reviews, monitoring frameworks and Responsible AI evaluations.
• Assist in gathering user requirements, analysing feedback and identifying opportunities to improve compliance processes through AI and automation.
• Support pilot programmes, user acceptance testing and solution enhancements to improve effectiveness, adoption and user experience.
• Develop presentations, communications, learning materials, demonstrations and user guides for the piloted use cases.
• Work with Compliance, Technology, Data and Business teams to coordinate project activities, monitor implementation progress and support delivery milestones.
• Support the development of AI-enabled reporting, dashboards and management insights that strengthen decision-making, governance and risk management.
• Contribute to the operationalisation and scaling of AI solutions by developing governance artefacts, procedures, controls and testing approaches.
