The Senior Manager, Port Strategy Commercial Relations leads Disney Cruise Line’s commercial relationships and infrastructure development across the global port portfolio, including both home ports and ports of call. This role serves as the primary commercial interface with port authorities and industry partners, while driving complex negotiations, long-term agreements, and infrastructure initiatives that support fleet deployment and Guest experience. This role is critical in influencing strategy, identifying new opportunities, shaping long-term commercial partnerships, and leading cross-functional initiatives with enterprise impact. The position requires strong commercial acumen, advanced analytical capability, and the ability to translate complex data into compelling insights and executive-ready materials.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Relations:

  • Serve as the day-to-day commercial lead and point of contact for all ports

  • Lead negotiation and structuring of port agreements including long-term berthing rights

  • Own contract execution and lifecycle management ensuring compliance

  • Assess market intelligence and future development opportunities

  • Maintain relationships with port authorities and partners

  • Partner with Deployment + Itinerary Planning, Terminal Operations, External Affairs, Legal, and Finance to ensure alignment across all initiatives and projects

  • Maintain centralized documentation and intelligence

Port Development & Infrastructure:

  • Lead development of port and terminal infrastructure initiatives in partnership with internal and external partners

  • Define scope, investment rationale, and conceptual designs and ensure alignment across all applicable teams

  • Manage external partners and consultants

  • Identify infrastructure gaps and drive solutions

  • Ensure infrastructure integrity and Disney quality standards

Strategic Analysis & Executive Communication:

  • Develop complex financial and operational models for any projects that require investment

  • Analyze data to inform strategic decisions

  • Support the Vice President, Port Strategy, Development + Operations in the creation of executive-level PowerPoint presentations on a recurring basis

  • Translate complex information into clear narratives

  • Model future scenarios and risks

Industry Engagement:

  • Maintain relationships with cruise lines, port authorities and other industry partners

  • Represent Disney Cruise Line in industry-wide forums and conferences, including CLIA and Florida Caribbean Cruise Association

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience

  • Strong experience utilizing and leveraging Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience in contract negotiations

  • Experience managing a large volume of complex work effectively and efficiently, prioritizing continually to ensure business results are achieved.

  • Demonstrated project management experience

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills with an attention to detail

  • Ability to develop presentations that provide clear project status updates and illustrate overall project health as well as other key deliverables

  • Ability to consolidate input from multiple sources, synthesize findings, and develop recommendations

  • Ability to support multiple and diverse initiatives with ease in shifting priorities in an ever-changing environment

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams with an ability to influence and align with multiple stakeholders

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Celebration, FL is $120,800 to $161,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
