## About this Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Technical Lead to provide technical leadership across multiple software delivery initiatives, from early planning through to production deployment. This role is ideal for an individual who combines deep Java expertise with the ability to guide teams, shape technical direction, and ensure high-quality, predictable delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment.

## What you’ll do

Lead software development initiatives from design through to production delivery.

Design scalable and maintainable software solutions aligned with best practices and business requirements.

Ensure the technical team has a clear and shared understanding of system design and implementation approach.

Implement business requirements in line with approved design documentation.

Provide clear and accurate reporting on technical progress, risks, challenges, and recommendations.

Coach and support technical team members, offering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Select appropriate technologies and tools to meet customer and system needs.

Manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently while maintaining delivery quality.

## Who you are

Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.

Extensive hands-on experience with Java 8 or later versions.

Solid understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.

Experience with Hibernate and ORM frameworks.Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

Experience with unit testing and test-driven development practices.Proficiency in Spring Boot, Git, and Maven.

Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Good understanding of microservices architecture.

Experience integrating RESTful and SOAP-based APIs.

Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.

Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to remain composed and delivery-focused under pressure.

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
