Description
At TDW we put people first - that means working everyday to ensure the pipelines that run through our communities are operating safely and reliably. What sets us apart is our expertise, experience and commitment.
Each day we dedicate ourselves to treating each other, our customers and our community with care and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Test Systems: Develop, maintain, debug, and improve electronic production test programs, fixtures, and validation procedures used for day-to-day manufacturing operations.
- New Product Introduction: Partner with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Quality to define manufacturing requirements, test strategies, build plans, and production readiness activities for new product introductions.
- Manufacturing Process Development: Develop, validate, and improve manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies and systems. Create and maintain assembly procedures, manufacturing documentation, and work instructions.
- Product Build Support: Provide hands-on support during product builds, pilot builds, and production ramp-up activities. Identify manufacturing risks and implement solutions to improve build quality, manufacturability, and efficiency.
- Documentation: Write and maintain manufacturing work instructions, test procedures, assembly procedures, troubleshooting guides, and production support documentation.
- Production Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, firmware configuration, and test-related issues during production. Collaborate closely with engineering, suppliers, technicians, operators, and manufacturing teams to quickly identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Electronics Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform board-level and system-level debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, power supplies, CAN analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
- Yield Improvement & Failure Analysis: Analyze manufacturing and test data to identify improvement opportunities. Lead root cause investigations, perform failure analysis on non-conforming products, and implement corrective actions to improve quality, reliability, and manufacturing performance.
- Configuration & Change Implementation: Support engineering change implementation activities, manufacturing validation, revision updates, and configuration control processes to ensure accurate product builds.
- Supplier Support: Work with suppliers to resolve electronics component, assembly, quality, and manufacturing issues. Support first article inspections, qualification activities, and corrective action investigations as required.
- Engineering & Manufacturing Integration: Serve as the primary technical interface between Product Development and Manufacturing during product builds, new product introduction, production ramp-up, and ongoing production support. Coordinate issue resolution across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Suppliers, and Manufacturing teams.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%.
