AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF), Singapore, to build and anchor deep national capabilities in AI. AISG is supported through a government-wide partnership including the NRF, Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Economic Development Board (EDB) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG). We bring together research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies to support impactful research, develop talent, and power Singapore's AI efforts.
This position will be hosted at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) under VP (Artificial Intelligence & Digital Economy)’s office and we welcome you to join our community.
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic planning, grant management, programme execution and stakeholder engagement functions of the AI Singapore (AISG) ecosystem. The role will oversee the full end-to-end lifecycle of grants, ensuring effective governance, operational excellence, compliance with funding requirements, and successful delivery of strategic outcomes aligned with national AI and research priorities.
The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between AISG leadership, funding agencies, government stakeholders, industry partners and internal programme teams, translating strategic objectives into actionable programmes and ensuring that resources, partnerships and initiatives are effectively coordinated to maximise impact.
Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for supporting planning and operations at AISG:
Strategic Planning: collaborate with AISG executive leadership and government stakeholders to develop and execute AISG’s strategic plans, and ensure alignment with funding agencies to drive outcomes.
Programme Management: provide oversight over the day-to-day implementation of AISG’s programmes to ensure successful delivery of outcomes and adherence to funding policies. Serve as the lead secretariat for AISG’s committees.
Strategic Partnerships: initiate and manage collaborations with key agency, industry and international stakeholders to build up AISG’s impact and facilitate translation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in research management, technology strategy, programme management, grant administration, innovation management or related fields.
Strong understanding of the artificial intelligence, research and innovation landscape, including emerging AI technologies and industry trends.
Detail‑oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines and high operational volumes.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different organisational units.
