As a Business Development Manager you will secure contracts within established deadlines and at the highest possible profitability in the country, while directly supporting General and Regional Management in business development and the expansion of strategic operations within the Defense and Security sector in the Brazilian market.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Business Line Regional Management in capturing new orders (order intake) in the country.
- Proactively identify and detect new commercial opportunities.
- Implement and support the rollout of the defined commercial strategy for Brazil.
- Actively support the management of ongoing commercial campaigns across national territory.
- Contribute to the creation and/or prioritization of government budgets dedicated to procurement programs for our products and solutions.
- Lead and coordinate the working group responsible for providing detailed information to regional clients and responding to any official or unofficial Requests for Information (RFIs) issued by customers.
- Ensure smooth and continuous communication between the Company and the Client, institutionally representing the organization before high-level decision-makers (including high-ranking officers and Armed Forces commands, such as the Navy and Army).
- Efficiently employ company assets and tools to implement and consolidate regional strategy.
- Recommend optimal pricing policies for business line management across active campaigns, ensuring contract execution with maximum profitability for the company.
- Assist the company in efficiently allocating its assets and resources within national campaigns to maximize new business capture.
- Support leadership in coordinating cross-departmental task forces and multifunctional activities (involving areas such as programs, services, engineering, offset, finance, legal, and operations) within active campaigns to ensure full compliance with client technical requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Sciences or Military Sciences, complemented by a General Staff Officer Course (Estado-Maior), or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Candidates with a background in the Brazilian Navy, Brazilian Army, or the Defense industry would be a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of military systems, defense organizational architecture, and the ability to connect broad strategic projects with relevant government agencies.
- Mature and active network of relationships with defense sector decision-makers, along with a deep practical understanding of military bidding and procurement processes.
- Fluent English for reporting and alignment with global teams and international stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in presentation tools, including PowerPoint, with strong skills in crafting executive-level presentations.
- Willingness and availability to travel as required by the role.
