Who: Wealth Management Firm

What: An in-house CPA who will oversee accounting and financial reporting while helping build a more sophisticated internal finance function.

Position Overview

A growing boutique wealth management and advisory firm in Atlanta is looking to add an In-House CPA as part of the continued expansion of its internal finance and accounting capabilities.

This individual will serve as a trusted accounting resource to leadership, oversee core accounting and financial reporting activities, and help establish scalable processes and controls as the organization grows.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge while also being comfortable operating in a hands-on environment where sound judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the firm's internal accounting and financial reporting activities.

  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.

  • Help establish and maintain appropriate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to firm leadership.

  • Coordinate with external tax, audit, and other professional service providers.

  • Support tax planning and compliance activities as appropriate.

  • Monitor accounting processes for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to bookkeeping and accounting support functions.

  • Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial initiatives.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding firm, employee, and financial information.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license.

  • Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.

  • Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to firm leadership.

  • High degree of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.

  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a growing organization.

  • Experience in wealth management, financial services, professional services, or a related environment is a plus.
