As Head of Technology Strategy, your work will help ensure Bupa’s ambitious strategy for transformation has technology, AI and digital at its heart – connecting our businesses and enabling new ways for our customers to access truly ‘connected care’.
Sitting in the Group Strategy & Transformation office you'll play a pivotal role in defining and driving Bupa's global technology and AI agenda. Working alongside senior leaders across our international markets, you'll help shape the technologies, opportunities and strategic choices that will define the future of healthcare. You'll lead high-impact initiatives that influence executive decision-making, build momentum behind transformational change and turn ambitious ideas into measurable outcomes. Through identifying emerging opportunities and driving enterprise-wide transformation, you'll play a key role in advancing Bupa's connected care agenda and delivering more personalised, innovative experiences for customers around the world.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
Shape and drive Bupa's global technology and AI agenda, helping define the strategic priorities, capabilities and investments that will support our long-term ambitions and enable the future of connected healthcare.
Lead complex, high-impact strategic projects from concept through to implementation, bringing structure to ambiguous challenges, conducting research and analysis, generating insights and translating them into clear recommendations and executable plans.
Partner with senior technology and business leaders across our global markets, including CIOs, Chief Digital Officers and Chief Data Officers, acting as a trusted advisor and helping shape technology strategies that balance local business needs with Group-wide objectives.
Provide thought leadership on emerging technology and AI trends, identifying opportunities to create value, improve customer experiences and strengthen Bupa's competitive position, while helping define the future direction of technology across the organisation.
Influence strategic decision-making at the highest levels of the business, developing compelling, evidence-based recommendations, business cases and executive materials that support discussions with Executive Committees, the Group Board and other key stakeholders.
Support strategic planning and transformation activity across Bupa's Market and Business Units, working on a broad range of initiatives from enterprise-wide strategy development and operating model design through to problem-solving, innovation and the mobilisation of transformational change.
Build strong relationships and alignment across a complex international organisation, bringing together diverse stakeholders to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and the successful delivery of shared technology priorities.
Act as a key ambassador for technology strategy and transformation, helping ensure technology remains at the heart of Bupa's future growth, innovation and ambition to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives.
Skills & Experience required for this role:
Significant experience operating in senior technology strategy, transformation or technology leadership roles within global, complex organisations. Experience of healthcare, health insurance or financial services is advantageous.
You'll have a track record of shaping technology agendas, influencing strategic decision-making and translating long-term technology ambitions into practical, enterprise-wide outcomes.
You'll be a trusted advisor to senior technology and business leaders, with the gravitas to influence Executive and Board-level stakeholders, build alignment across diverse interests and drive strategic outcomes in a complex global environment.
You'll bring proven success in leading high-impact strategic initiatives, applying critical thinking to navigate complex challenges, shape strategic direction and deliver tangible outcomes and measurable business value.
You’ll bring strong analytical capabilities, with experience using qualitative and quantitative data to uncover insights, evaluate options and support strategic investment decisions.
An exceptional communicator, you’ll bring the ability to distil complex information into compelling presentations, reports and recommendations tailored for a range of audiences.
With a naturally curious mindset and passion for emerging technologies, AI and innovation, you’ll be experienced in identifying opportunities that support long-term growth and transformation.
Strong commercial acumen and sound judgement, balancing innovation with practicality to deliver sustainable value for customers and the business.
You'll be an inclusive and collaborative leader with a proven ability to bring diverse stakeholders together across international markets and organisational boundaries, building alignment, fostering strong partnerships and delivering shared outcomes.
Educated to degree level along with a relevant professional qualification in technology, AI or strategy.
