Assistant Store Manager - Corona Del Mar

We are searching for an experienced and energetic Assistant Store Manager to help deliver an exceptional Cozy Earth in-store experience. This role partners closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop the team, maintain operational excellence, and ensure Cozy Earth's high standards are reflected in every customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Support: Partner with the Store Manager to lead, train, coach, and inspire store associates. Serve as Manager on Duty and take ownership of the business, customer experience, and team execution in the Store Manager's absence.
• Customer Experience: Deliver and reinforce exceptional service by modeling best-in-class customer interactions. Ensure store presentation and product displays reflect the Cozy Earth brand.
• Sales & Performance: Partner with the Store Manager to drive store sales goals and key performance indicators by motivating the team, coaching in real time, and supporting strong daily floor execution.
• Clienteling & Customer Engagement: Model and reinforce a relationship-driven selling culture, building meaningful customer connections and supporting the team in client outreach, follow-up, and retention.
• Brand & Visual Standards: Partner with the Store Manager to maintain elevated visual merchandising, product presentation, and overall store standards consistent with the Cozy Earth brand.
• Operational Excellence: Assist with daily operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, compliance with policies, and adherence to company standards.
• Inventory Management: Share responsibility for inventory accuracy, product availability, shipment processing, and regular audits to minimize shrinkage.
• Process & Compliance: Support the execution of compliant practices, reporting, and communication with HQ as needed.
• Community Engagement: Represent Cozy Earth in local events and initiatives, building connections with the community.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and partner with the Store Manager to implement solutions that enhance the customer and team experience.
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership experience, preferably in a premium, luxury, or customer-focused environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales results and coach a team against key performance indicators.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences.
• Comfortable using retail technology and clienteling tools to support the customer experience and business performance.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, stocking, and floor resets.

This role offers a combination of base salary and commission, with a base pay range of $25 - $35 per hour. Actual base pay offered may vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Commissions are earned based on monthly store performance and sales targets.
