Description
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior OPEX/Lean Engineer.
## What you’ll do:
Job summary
Develop and lead the CI Team to execute and support the plant CI initiatives. Also lead and support on overall activities on the deployment of ECIS (Eaton Continuous Improvement System). Design and implement processes that can achieve the levels of required quality, customer service and manufacturing, providing technical support to maintain and improve the efficiency and productivity levels desired by the implementation of the Eaton Business System. Lead the Lean Transformation roadmap according with the business needs.
Facilitate the development and deployment of plant-wide Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) strategies, resulting in implementation plans with SMART goals that are linked to business strategy and profit plans. Develop and implementing effective training plans for all levels of the organization that help develop and sustain a continuous improvement culture. Serve as an ECIS / ELSS deployment leader by coordinating and monitoring projects and implementation plans and driving accountability throughout the organization and effectively integrating a lean management system. Provide Subject Matter Expert support on Lean management and tools.
Job responsibilities
1. Developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality and safety.
2. Support the building of project controls capabilities including the creation of cost and schedule baselines, tracking, forecasting, and change management tools.
3. Performing process capability studies, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making to achieve operational excellence and meet production targets.
4. Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing using lean tools.
5. Work closely with OPEX Manager resources to drive continuous improvement (CI) programs, utilizing EBS resources (PROLaunch, OpA, BPI, etc.).
6. Designing and planning equipment layout that maximizes production velocity and material flow.
7. Process monitoring facilitate digital factory.
8. Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes.
9. Work with the division leadership, functional leaders, and site managers to align project management organizational resources and initiatives with key business objectives.
10. Drive unified plans that support operations and division business, financial and employee engagement objectives.
11. Facilitate a culture where best practices are shared across operations and the business and identify opportunities for synergy and integration between businesses as well as benchmark industry and local best practices to set stretch performance targets.
12. Dedicated competent and capable resource to drive ECIS Meets all required functional competency requirements.

14. Responsible of six sigma program (Yellow Belt).
15. Support to ECIS deploy and execution around of the plant.
16. Ensure tool application meet the minimum tool requirements.
17. Provide coaching in the daily accountability process.
## Qualifications:
Education level required
Bachelor’s degree on industrial, electrical, or electromechanical engineering, business administration or other science.
Preferable:
a. Master’s degree in engineering, administration, or other science.
b. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
c. Program Management Certification.
Years and area of experience required
Minimum experience of 3-5 years in similar positions.

Technical knowledge
1. Full Bilingual (English / Spanish).
2. Lean Tools: (a) able to identify applicable Lean tools in the given business environment and deploying them in an appropriate manner through training and Kaizen events; (b) able to see Lean tools, Kaizens / Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs) and Lean Management principles as part of a continuous improvement system; (c) able to assess deployment of applicable Lean tools and systems to identify and address gaps.
3. Successfull use of one or more Problem Solving tools to improve business metrics and results.
4. Knowledge and use of Six sigma methodology. Green Belt Certified.
5. Project Management Knowledge (SME).
6. PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, MS Project y MS Visio.
