We are searching for the best talent for the Sr Medical Manager Oncology to be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Purpose: The Senior Medical Manager, Oncology serves as a strategic scientific leader responsible for the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategies across in-market and pipeline oncology assets. This role contributes to advancing patient outcomes through scientific leadership, evidence generation, stakeholder partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration.

As a People Leader, the Senior Medical Manager builds and develops high-performing teams, fosters an inclusive and accountable culture, and drives execution excellence while ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with Johnson & Johnson policies, healthcare compliance standards, and Our Credo.

You will be responsible for:

Medical Strategy & Scientific Leadership

• Lead the development and implementation of local Medical Affairs strategies aligned with global, regional, and business priorities.
• Translate scientific evidence and healthcare trends into actionable medical strategies.
• Drive medical plans supporting launch readiness, lifecycle management, and patient-focused innovation.
• Provide scientific leadership within Cross-Value Teams and other cross-functional forums.
• Ensure medical insights inform strategic business decisions while preserving scientific integrity and compliance.
• Identify and address evidence gaps through data generation initiatives, including Real-World Evidence and Investigator-Initiated Studies.
• Support publication planning, congress activities, medical education programs, and scientific communication initiatives.

External Engagement & Insights

• Build and maintain trusted scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare professionals, investigators, academic institutions, and medical societies.
• Generate actionable medical and market insights that influence strategy and improve patient outcomes.
• Represent Johnson & Johnson as a scientific expert in external forums and scientific exchange activities.
• Contribute to disease-area leadership and advancement of standards of care in oncology.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development, Pharmacovigilance, Health Economics, Patient Engagement, and other functions to achieve strategic objectives.
• Influence decisions across a complex matrix organization.
• Facilitate alignment around priorities while maintaining a patient-first mindset.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and business partners.

Qualifications:

• Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc, or equivalent)
• Oncology specialization or equivalent therapeutic area expertise
• Significant experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industry.
• Demonstrated Medical Affairs experience.
• Oncology therapeutic area expertise.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and working within matrix organizations.
• Prior people management and talent development experience.
• Launch experience in oncology products.
• Experience in evidence generation and scientific engagement strategies.
• Experience interacting with external experts and healthcare institutions
