You will help ensure each event runs efficiently from setup through closeout while providing a high level of service to guests, clients, and employees.

This role is ideal for a reliable, hands-on leader who can stay calm in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, make sound decisions independently, and step in wherever needed. The Assistant Event Manager reports directly to the Event Manager.

What We Offer

  • Consistent daytime shift: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Complimentary parking at LAZ-operated parking garages for all employees while on the clock!
  • Opportunity to build leadership experience within a growing parking and event operations company

  • Ensure employees understand their responsibilities, safety expectations, cash-handling procedures, customer-service standards, and traffic-flow plans.
  • Provide refresher training and real-time coaching when needed to maintain operational standards.
  • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic within parking facilities to support safe, efficient ingress and egress.
  • Communicate closely with the Event Manager, venue representatives, traffic control teams, and event staff before, during, and after events.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, including placing, moving, retrieving, and organizing equipment such as cones, barricades, signs, radios, and payment equipment.
  • Handle, secure, reconcile, and safeguard cash and other payment-related materials for assigned events, when required.
  • Monitor parking facilities for safety concerns, customer issues, equipment needs, staffing gaps, and operational disruptions.
  • Respond professionally to customer concerns and help resolve issues quickly while maintaining a positive guest experience.
  • Complete required reports, shift notes, cash documentation, and incident documentation accurately and on time.
  • Work independently and make timely decisions in the field when management is not immediately available.
  • Support additional parking, event, and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous leadership, parking, hospitality, customer service, event operations, or cash-handling experience is preferred.
  • Parking industry experience is a plus but is not required; training will be provided.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced event environment.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, clients, and employees from diverse backgrounds.
  • Sound judgment and confidence making independent decisions while remaining consistent with company procedures.

  • Strong customer-service mindset and ability to de-escalate concerns professionally.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to seek improvement, take initiative, and contribute ideas that improve operations and guest service.
