Quality Business Partner_Melbourne North East

Join one of Australia's leading aged care providers and play a key role in strengthening quality, clinical governance and continuous improvement across a portfolio of homes. Reporting to the Head of Quality and Clinical Development, this position partners with operational leaders to ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care while supporting teams to achieve excellence in quality, risk and clinical outcomes.

About the Role

As a Quality Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to home leaders, helping to identify and mitigate risks, build capability, and drive continuous improvement across quality and clinical practices. This role is pivotal in monitoring quality outcomes, supporting compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards, and embedding best practice quality management systems across the business.

Responsibilities

• Identify and escalate risks associated with non-conformance to organisational policies and procedures.
• Build capability of home leaders in quality management systems and clinical governance processes.
• Support teams to understand and adhere to policies, procedures and the Continuous Improvement Framework.
• Partner with operational and support service teams to provide expert advice and guidance on quality, risk and clinical matters.
• Identify learning needs and deliver training to enhance quality and clinical capability.
• Facilitate clinical and quality-related training programs.
• Support the induction of Residential Aged Care Managers, Care Directors and Clinical Care Coordinators in quality and clinical governance processes.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in resident care.

Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent experience.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Desirable

• Postgraduate qualification in Quality or Risk.
• Postgraduate qualification in Nursing, Gerontology or Dementia Care.

Skills and Experience

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years' experience in aged care or a related clinical discipline.
• At least 3 years' experience in a leadership role.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain attention to detail.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving capability.
• Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and current aged care reform agenda.
• Flexible, adaptable and responsive to changing priorities.
• Innovative, results-focused and passionate about improving the lives of older Australians.
• Ability to undertake regular interstate travel.
