Use your aviation experience differently.
Are you an experienced aviation professional looking to step away from day-to-day maintenance while staying connected to aircraft operations and technical problem solving?
Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking a Support & Test Equipment Manager to join our MQ-4C Triton Integrated Logistics Support team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong aviation maintenance, logistics, technical services or through-life support background who enjoys understanding complex technical systems, engaging with stakeholders and driving operational outcomes.
Rather than conducting maintenance yourself, you'll be responsible for ensuring the right support and test equipment is available, serviceable, compliant and ready to support operations when required.
About the Role
Supporting the Triton Integrated Logistics Support Team, you'll oversee the management and sustainment of Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) supporting the 9 Squadron maintenance organisation.
You'll work closely with maintenance teams, contractors, supply chain specialists and Defence stakeholders to ensure equipment remains compliant, calibrated and available to support operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing critical aviation support and test equipment assets
- Coordinating calibration, repair and serviceability activities
- Managing supplier and contractor relationships
- Ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements
- Supporting Triton maintenance operations across multiple locations
- Providing technical advice and support to key stakeholders
- Forecasting equipment requirements and future capability needs
- Supporting Defence and operational customer expectations
You'll ideally bring:
- Technical trade qualifications
- Strong aviation industry knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience interpreting maintenance requirements and technical data
- Strong organisational and planning capability
- Experience working within aviation or Defence environments
What We Offer:
- Enjoy genuine work-life balance with a Monday to Friday roster and flexible working arrangements, including 9-day fortnights
- Step off the tools without stepping away from aviation, leveraging your technical expertise in a strategic and influential role
- Support the MQ-4C Triton program, one of Australia's most advanced Defence aviation capabilities
- Get closer to the mission through occasional travel to RAAF Base Tindal and exposure to frontline operations
- Accelerate your development with funded training, professional certifications and ongoing career support
- Access diverse career pathways across Integrated Logistics Support, Engineering, Program Delivery, Supply Chain and Defence Capability Management
- Be part of a collaborative team where your expertise is recognised, valued and trusted
- Build a long-term career with a global Defence leader delivering some of Australia's most complex and innovative programs
- Additional benefits including salary packaging, novated leasing and the option to purchase extra annual leave
