Our mission: eliminating every barrier to mental health.
Spring Health is a global mental health company on a mission to eliminate every barrier to mental health. We're building a world where getting support is simple, personal, and built around the person, so care can continue through every job, move, health plan, and life stage.
Our AI-native platform helps us deliver personalized support across self-guided tools, coaching, therapy, medication management, and specialty care. With outcomes independently validated by JAMA Network Open and the Validation Institute, Spring Health reaches more than 170 million people worldwide through leading employers, health plans, and partners.
As an AI-native company, we believe technology should expand the reach, quality, and humanity of care. Every Spring Health team member is expected to use AI tools thoughtfully, apply human judgment to AI outputs, and keep building AI fluency in ways that support their role and our mission.
Reporting directly to the VP of Product, Care Innovation, you will define and execute the overarching multi-year product vision, strategy, and operating model for the Care Foundations group—spanning claims and eligibility, member billing and collections, provider lifecycle, and provider pay and incentives.
Please note that this is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, with an expectation to be in the office 2–3 days per week at our 44 Montgomery Street location. Candidates must be based in the San Francisco metro area or able to relocate independently within 90 days of their start date. Quarterly travel to company headquarters for team onsites and planning sessions is required.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the long-term vision, multi-year product strategy, and operational roadmap across the Care Foundations group, spanning servicing automation, claims, billing, provider lifecycle, and provider pay.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Leaders, establishing clear standards for strategic ownership, autonomy, and cross-functional influence.
- Serve as the product owner for foundational operational platforms, representing this portfolio in senior leadership forums and aligning product investments with company-level goals.
- Drive AI and automation initiatives across servicing channels to optimize operational workflows, increase resolution velocity, and streamline member and provider support touchpoints.
- Scale AI-driven servicing platforms and conversational automation across member and provider support channels to drive continuous operational efficiency and resolution speed.
- Modernize automated claims rules, real-time eligibility capabilities, and denial management systems to reduce operational friction and optimize overall cost-to-serve.
- Drive the evolution of global and domestic member billing and payment infrastructure to deliver transparent, flexible, and reliable financial experiences.
- Oversee end-to-end provider platform experiences from onboarding and self-service administration through to complex global and domestic provider compensation models.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with leaders across Engineering, Design, Clinical Operations, Revenue Operations, and Finance to ensure operational readiness and alignment.
- Institutionalize high-velocity experimentation, qualitative user research, and data-rigorous decision-making frameworks across all Care Foundations product teams.
- Evaluate organizational structures and resource allocation across pods to continuously increase team leverage and adapt to evolving business priorities.
What success looks like:
- Consistently exceed group-level operational and sustainability KPIs, systematically reducing cost-to-serve while scaling platform capacity.
- Increase automated servicing resolution velocity and first-contact resolution rates across member and provider touchpoints.
- Elevate member and provider satisfaction metrics (NPS) across all billing, onboarding, and support workflows.
- Improve clean claims percentages and reduce claims processing cycle times through automated rules engines and real-time eligibility verification.
- Successfully coach and elevate Product Managers into strategic, autonomous leaders with proven business impact and career progression.
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of driving multi-year product strategy across complex healthcare ecosystems.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience, including proven success leading other product managers or team leads and scaling product organizations.
- Track record of managing product teams at or above the organizational scale you will oversee over the next 18 months.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling foundational systems, automated servicing tools, billing and payment infrastructure, or enterprise operational workflows.
- Strong financial and strategic acumen, with a deep understanding of P&L drivers, cost-to-serve dynamics, and commercial impact.
- Exceptional executive presence and influence, with a proven ability to align cross-functional VP and executive stakeholders behind complex technical roadmaps.
- High analytical rigor and data fluency, enabling evidence-based decision-making in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the year for company onsites and quarterly leadership planning sessions.
Nice to have:
- Experience in digital health, health insurance, or mental health technology environments.
