Commercial Insurance Team Lead
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Insurance Team Lead to provide leadership and support to a team of insurance professionals while delivering exceptional client servicing and driving business growth. This role involves overseeing daily operations, addressing client needs, mentoring team members, and collaborating strategically to ensure continued success within the commercial insurance sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of commercial insurance account executives, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex client inquiries and ensure timely, professional resolution.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and team goals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategic initiatives for client retention, account growth, and operational efficiency.
- Support the team in managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, policy changes, and claims management.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Actively mentor and train team members to enhance their technical knowledge, communication skills, and client relationship capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, carriers, and other external partners.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial insurance, with a minimum of 5 years in a client-facing role, such as Account Executive or similar.
- Prior leadership experience, preferably as a Team Lead or in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, industry regulations, and claims processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor diverse teams, fostering professional growth.
- Skilled in analyzing data and metrics to drive decision-making and achieve business objectives.
- Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Insurance Practitioner, CPCU, or CIC) is a plus.
