- Develop and execute a long-term leave management strategy focused on compliance, operational efficiency, employee experience, and scalability
- Serve as the escalation point for complex or sensitive leave and accommodation matters
- Manage vendor relationships, service-level expectations, audits, escalations, and performance reviews to ensure high-quality service delivery
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local leave and accommodation laws, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, CFRA, HIPAA, and workers’ compensation regulations
- Monitor legislative changes and assess organizational impact, recommending updates to policies, practices, and training as needed

- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in leave administration, disability management, accommodations, or related HR programs, including experience managing complex cases in a multi-state environment
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading programs, projects, or teams with demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive process improvements
- Strong knowledge and practical application of federal and state leave and disability laws, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, CFRA, HIPAA, and paid family leave programs
- Familiarity with California statutory leave and disability programs required
- Experience overseeing third-party leave administrators and vendor relationships
- Experience administering or coordinating workers’ compensation claims preferred
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CLMS) preferred
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Program Manager (Assignment: Leaves & Accommodations) who brings deep knowledge of leave administration, disability management, accommodation, and applicable federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment, have the expertise to navigate complex and sensitive employee situations, and have the ability to build strong partnerships across People, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Operations, and external vendors. This role will play an important part in strengthening and scaling WelbeHealth’s leave programs, ensuring compliance, improving the employee experience, and developing processes that can grow alongside our organization. If you’re ready to join a team that values both our participants and our team members, we’d love to hear from you!
