Machining Operator 2 - 1st Shift

What will you be doing?

• Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment including milling, turning, grinding, drilling, tapping, honing, and EDM machinery

• Manufacture precision medical components from raw materials while meeting quality, safety, and production requirements

• Operate multiple machines simultaneously and perform in process inspections using a variety of measuring and inspection equipment

• Read and interpret blueprints, establish tool offsets and cutter compensation, and identify and replace worn tooling

• Troubleshoot production and development issues and support process improvements

• Partner with engineers and toolmakers on fixture design, cutting tool design, process development, and part design enhancements

• Provide guidance, training, and support to less experienced team members

• Complete manufacturing documentation and comply with FDA, QSR, company policies, and applicable quality standards

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including preventive maintenance activities

What will you need to be successful?

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus vocational training, certification, or equivalent machining experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM machines

• Ability to independently perform moderate machine setups and troubleshoot machining processes

• Experience reading blueprints and performing simple to complex inspections using precision measurement equipment, optical comparators, and microscopes

• Strong English communication and basic mathematics skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

• Availability to work first shift

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $21.27/h - $31.97/h USD hourly and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, job-related knowledge/skills, geographical location. You will be entitled to receive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage,401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, and a variety of wellness offerings.​
