Description
Position Summary/Purpose:
Provide administrative and office support for the Department of Welcome Programs.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
- Assist with creating, coordinating, and executing marketing tasks as assigned by full-time staff members.
- Provide operational, task-oriented support for all programs, events, and activities. Specifically, those related to Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Move out, and Herd Camp.
- Network and collaborate with other GCU departments, partners, and students
- Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant systems, platforms, and resources to aid in managing organizational details
- Support daily office functions and administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, emails, text messages, and budget management.
- Other duties as assigned
Equipment Used and Responsibility:
- MS Office
- Clickup Project Management System
Schedule:
- Academic year, 20/hrs week
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Desire to learn new skills and ability to take and receive direction from staff
- Ability to balance multiple tasks at one time and take initiative of responsibilities
- Experience and interest in marketing and communications
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Canva.
Experience/Education:

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
