Role summary:
The Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC, leads and supports HVACR operations by coordinating maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role involves managing resources, troubleshooting equipment, and implementing improvements to maintain system efficiency and reliability. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver quality service and support business objectives. Additionally, the Senior Technician provides training, evaluates performance, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives while upholding company policies and standards.
About the team:
The General Facilities Maintenance team ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of stores and clubs through preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections. Team members apply expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair to uphold high standards. They manage maintenance schedules, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Focused on collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability, the team supports business operations by delivering a safe and efficient environment, contributing significantly to operational excellence across all facilities.
What you'll do:

• Lead and participate in HVACR teams to coordinate and execute maintenance and repair work aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee special projects by evaluating new technologies, identifying deficiencies, and recommending improvements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVACR industry regulations through inspections, repairs, and proper refrigerant handling.
• Maintain quality standards by inspecting installations, modifications, and energy management systems, reporting deficiencies as needed.
• Manage refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and supplier relationships to support HVACR maintenance and repairs.
• Provide onsite training and technical guidance to enhance team skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Compile budget reports, submit warranty claims, and develop scopes of work for HVACR projects.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in HVAC and refrigeration repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of EPA regulations and compliance related to refrigerants and HVACR safety.
• Proven ability to manage HVAC controls and energy management systems effectively.
• Strong skills in conducting inspections, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Experience coordinating work assignments and leading teams to meet operational goals.
• Ability to manage parts inventory, track usage, and develop supplier relationships.
• Competence in compiling budget information and supporting financial sustainability efforts.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and adapting to evolving technologies and business needs.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
Universal EPA Certification.
