Make a difference by leading high-impact mechanical capital projects that improve safety, reliability, operational performance, and manufacturing capability across Ingredion production sites in Thailand.
As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will lead mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development and front-end engineering through detailed design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and project closeout. You will ensure mechanical systems and equipment are designed, installed, and commissioned safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
What you will do:
Lead project execution - Manage the mechanical engineering scope of capital projects from feasibility studies through closeout, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
Design mechanical systems - Develop and review mechanical designs, technical specifications, equipment layouts, piping, utilities, material handling equipment, and process infrastructure.
Evaluate equipment and vendors - Lead equipment selection, technical bid evaluations, vendor assessments, and procurement support to achieve optimal project outcomes.
Develop capital projects - Support feasibility studies, FEL/FEED deliverables, scope definition, CAPEX estimates, risk assessments, and technical specifications.
Support construction and commissioning - Provide field engineering support during construction, mechanical completion, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
Manage contractors and consultants - Coordinate engineering consultants, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality, compliance, schedule adherence, and cost control.
Improve reliability and collaborate - Identify solutions that improve reliability, maintainability, energy efficiency, and lifecycle performance while working with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Process Engineering, EHS, and Procurement.
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or capital project execution within manufacturing, food processing, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or a similar industrial environment.
Experience delivering capital projects involving mechanical equipment, utilities, piping systems, and process infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, conveyors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, utility systems, and piping design.
Experience managing engineering contractors, equipment suppliers, and construction activities, with strong written and spoken English.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across manufacturing sites in Thailand.
