About the Role
Are you passionate about building strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and serving as a trusted business partner to deliver results?
As a Senior Account Manager, you'll oversee a portfolio of customer accounts, partner with key stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, execute business initiatives, and deliver measurable results. You'll use a consultative approach to understand customer needs, provide strategic recommendations, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
In this role, you'll collaborate across teams, leverage market and industry insights, and help customers maximize performance while achieving client objectives. Success comes from combining strategic account management, relationship-building, and exceptional customer service to create value for both the customer and the client.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Get to Do
Build and maintain relationships with buyers, category managers, and key decision-makers across your assigned accounts
Execute sales calls and presentations to support business plans, promotions, and client initiatives
Partner with customers to grow sales, improve distribution, increase shelf presence, and support promotional activity
- Analyze account performance and market trends to identify opportunities and drive business results
- Represent client brands during category reviews and business planning discussions
- Maintain account reporting, promotional plans, pricing updates, and other business-critical documentation
- Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned brands, products, and processes
- Support and mentor team members by sharing best practices and providing guidance when needed
Qualifications
What You Need
Required
5-10+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
Proven experience managing customer relationships and driving business growth
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills
Ability to analyze sales and market data to develop effective business recommendations
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, internet research, and web-based applications
Comfortable using multiple systems and web-based tools, including Microsoft Office
Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload via wired connection)
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and influence stakeholders
Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 4–6 times per year
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with buyers, category managers, or retail partners
Experience supporting promotional programs and sales initiative
