The Electrical Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development of components, small systems, quality systems, processes or materials.

## This role in summary

The Manager for Hardware Engineering position is responsible for leading a team of hardware engineers to deliver project execution, knowledge creation and capture, technical mentorship, and consistent

sound engineering practices. This professional is also expected to drive innovation and develop technologies within the electronics space.

The candidate should have high-quality demonstrated experience and knowledge in hardware, as well as exceptional systems thinking skills. They must be an excellent developer of technical talent with

proven experience in development, execution, lean product development, system integration, project management, and strong influence skills.

This team leader will be responsible for leading a cross-cultural group of more than 10 hardware engineers with the global responsibility of delivering electronic control for appliances, human-machine

interfaces and flawless execution of services for the global hardware group.

## Your responsibilities will include

Planning

1. 1. Work with the architecture leaders, subsystems, verification and validation (V&V), planning and solution architects to understand the hardware needs

2. Future project planning (component roadmaps) finalization which includes a plan to support the delivery with the right trade-offs

3. Work with architecture leaders to align quality and cost targets for the year

Execution

1. Scope and prioritize business essential projects involving electronic component changes to mitigate production shortage risks

2. Be able to connect with suppliers for technical and strategic reviews and run benchmark analysis for industry needs and trends

3. Support engineering team on component selection for new designs, supporting the technical design reviews to ensure the projects are delivered as per architecture

4. Maintenance of development tools. Connect and lead the SME (Subject Matter Expert) community and ensure training materials, licenses and needs are well identified and with defined action plans

5. Lead the project management CoP. Set priorities and processes for the team of hardware project managers, as well as lead strategic initiatives and CI projects related to PM

6. Reporting project status weekly to ensure on track status. Use the Andon system to solve problems proactively.

## Minimum requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience managing teams, technical leadership in development, testing and implementation of large scale, complex technology projects or equivalent

## Preferred skills and experiences

Preferred Requirements

• Ms.C. in Engineering degree ( Electrical or Electronics)

• Experience with industry standards (UL, IEC, etc), Schematics, and PCB Layout development and tools preferred, ideally with CADENCE Tools.

• Able to effectively understand and improve business processes, specifically on the engineering development cycle.

• Effective communication and negotiating skills.

• Proficient in 6 sigma methodology.

• EMC & EMI experience, standards, and testing procedures.

• Experience designing high-volume products dealing with contract manufacturers.

• Understanding of electronic controls manufacturing processes.

• Understanding of mechanical assemblies.

• Knowledge of capacitive touch technologies for touch buttons and/or touch screens.

• Mixed-signal and embedded board-level design experience including up to 32-bit microcontrollers.

• Knowledge of switch mode power supply development.

• Able to work with both global and regional groups, positively influencing the organization in all directions (both vertical and horizontal).
