## About this Role
We are seeking an experienced OSS Performance Management & Analytics Engineer to design, develop, implement and support Performance Management solutions across mobile network technologies. This role focuses on InfoVista, AtivaNet and Kibana platforms, enabling performance monitoring, analytics, reporting and data extraction capabilities that support critical operational and business needs. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders across international teams, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while ensuring platform performance, security, reliability and continuous improvement. The role supports Vodafone UK stakeholders and requires expertise in OSS environments, telecom technologies, cloud platforms and analytics solutions.
## What you’ll do
- Design, implement, maintain and enhance Performance Management solutions using InfoVista, AtivaNet and Kibana platforms.
- Gather, analyse and translate stakeholder requirements into technical designs and solution implementations.
- Create and maintain KPIs, dashboards, reports and data extraction mechanisms to support operational and analytical use cases.
- Install, configure, deploy and support InfoVista and AtivaNet products on Linux-based environments.
- Design software architecture, system interfaces and functional components within the Performance Management domain.
- Support network analytics initiatives by enabling data-driven use cases through performance monitoring platforms.
- Develop, test, maintain and continuously improve software solutions, APIs and automation scripts.
- Review solutions to ensure scalability, availability, performance, maintainability and security compliance.
- Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, developers, administrators and operational teams across multiple countries.
- Perform testing and validation activities with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Manage capacity planning, lifecycle activities, hardening controls and security initiatives for Performance Management platforms.
- Lead delivery activities for local and central projects while ensuring quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Drive innovation through evaluation and adoption of new tools, frameworks and development methodologies.
- Investigate service degradation issues, identify root causes and support resolution activities.
## Who you are
•Strong knowledge of InfoVista and AtivaNet architecture, components and deployment practices.
•Extensive experience with Kibana and Google Cloud Platform technologies.
•Proven experience installing, configuring and supporting InfoVista and AtivaNet solutions on Linux environments.
•Strong understanding of performance monitoring, KPI analysis and reporting solutions.
•Knowledge of mobile telecommunications technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G networks.
•Experience with SNMP and network performance data collection.
•Experience working with OSS platforms, particularly Performance Management systems.
•Good understanding of Big Data and analytics technologies, including ETL processes, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, SQL and Business Intelligence tools.
•Experience delivering cloud-based solutions and deployments.
•Familiarity with Agile software delivery methodologies.
•Strong stakeholder management, communication and technical documentation skills.
•Ability to work effectively across international, multicultural and distributed teams.
•Experience managing vendors, customer relationships and cross-functional programmes.
•Customer-focused, organised and solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
Essential Qualifications
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
•Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
