Job Title - P04 – Staff PLM Operations
Job Summary
The Staff PLM Operations professional is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) operational processes that support product development, product changes, master data management, and lifecycle governance.
This role serves as a senior operational expert and trusted partner to Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable PLM operations. The position drives operational excellence through process standardization, governance, automation, data quality improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Staff PLM Operations professional collaborate with strategy, resolves complex business challenges, and delivers measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the enterprise SME for PLM Operations, providing leadership in lifecycle management, governance, and operational best practices.
- Lead and optimize critical PLM operational processes, ensuring reliable, scalable, and compliant execution across the product lifecycle.
- Establish and govern PLM standards, controls, and compliance frameworks, including audit readiness and regulatory adherence.
- Champion data governance and master data quality, driving resolution of complex data integrity issues and improving data lifecycle management.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, scalability, and user experience.
- Define and manage operational KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and forecasting, providing actionable insights for business and leadership decision-making.
- Lead digital transformation through automation, analytics, AI adoption, and PLM capability enhancements to improve operational effectiveness.
- Partners with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and IT teams to align business objectives, influence decisions, and lead strategic PLM initiatives.
- Mentor and coach junior team members to accelerate their technical capability, and operational effectiveness with project delegation to the junior team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Operations, or Life science graduation
- 8+ years of experience in PLM operations, program management, or business operations
- Strong experience working cross‑functionally to drive execution and deliver results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level communication
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and exercise sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in PLM systems and regulated environments (e.g., MedTech, Pharma)
- Familiarity with PLM governance models, KPIs, and operational metrics
- Experience supporting global teams and stakeholders
- Prefer experience with PLM Tools (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Agile PLM, SAP PLM), SAP S/4 PLM etc.
- Agentic AI and LLM applications in PLM ecosystem e.g., TeamCenter, SAP, LIMS, and Camstar
