Description
As a HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing HR support to all departments at the distribution center (DC), including recruiting, benefits, payroll, and new employee orientation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Posts and communicates open positions in all departments of the DC and then track applicants through applicant tracking system.
- Research changes to employment legislation and HR best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Review and recommend updates to HR policies, procedures, forms, and employee handbook.
- Assist in benchmarking research to keep HR practices competitive.
- Maintain HRIS (UKG) records and prepare HR reports and metrics.
- Support benefits administration, leave management, and Worker's Compensation claims.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations activities and investigations.
- Act as the primary backup to the HR Specialist during absences and peak workload periods.
- Provide afternoon and evening HR support for employees and managers, including coverage for Calgary operations.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Trustworthiness to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Completion of a Human Resources Management program is required.
- CHRP designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Customer service skills to serve employees in an appropriate manner
- Previous knowledge or experience in Human Resources

- Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday - 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
- Pay range: $21 - $26/hour
