Description
Cost Data Management & Reporting: Prepare annual cost roll, purchase price variance reports, and timely daily cost rolls of parts; analyze aged WIP and inventory items; review daily and monthly costing reports. Work Order Management: Open, close, and update status on various work orders (production, engineering, proposals, projects); ensure accuracy in work order data and timelines. Fixed Assets & Inventory Verification: Conduct physical verification of fixed assets; analyze inventory fluctuations and aged inventory/WIP items monthly. Cost Analysis & Variance Review: Conduct detailed variance analysis including manufacturing work order efficiency, PPV by material group, shipping costs, labor burden, and work center/material overhead utilization. Standard Costing & Changes Monitoring: Review and approve changes to standard costs, monitor ongoing modifications, and ensure accuracy across groups and suppliers. Operational & Productivity Analysis: Review work center utilization, analyze deviations in efficiency, and identify main reasons for missed budgets or variances. Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Assist AP with invoice/payment issues, communicate concerns to buyers, and participate in weekly meetings. Approval & Data Validation: Review, approve RFPs over $500, and ensure accuracy of data supporting COGS, inventory, and financial trends from profit/loss reports.
