CIB Chief Operating Office
The CIB Chief Operating Office supports the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business by delivering platforms, processes, and systems across a range of areas, including line of business management, business solutions and enablement, and client lifecycle management. CIB provides investment banking, corporate and transactional banking, and commercial real estate lending capabilities. CIB COO is focused on supporting the CIB business lines.
Program overview
The CIB COO Analyst Program is a full-time professional program that provides participants an immersive learning experience understanding of the company's operations, business strategies, and corporate culture. The experience includes relationship building, relevant work assignments, coaching, performance feedback sessions, and informative learning sessions with key leaders.
It is designed to provide undergraduate students with an experiential overview of the applicable team within CIB COO and how they support developing, executing and supporting a streamlined approach to each of their individual businesses and the enterprise as a whole. The program incorporates real-world scenarios and experiences to help prepare you for a rewarding career at Wells Fargo.
What to expect
You will begin with one week of structured training. Following training, you will step into day-to-day responsibilities, which may include:
Support business and financial planning processes, including headcount tracking, expense management, and performance reporting
Contribute to strategic initiatives, regulatory readiness, and risk and control programs
Assist with the coordination of governance routines, leadership reporting, and internal communications
Perform data analysis, identifying process inefficiencies and recommending improvements
Support cross-functional project with business, technology, and operational stakeholder
Conduct market research, peer benchmarking, and internal analysis to inform strategic planning
Assist with preparation of executive presentations, meeting materials and briefing documents
Throughout the program, you will receive ongoing coaching, mentorship, and feedback to support your development.

Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with expected graduation in December 2026 or May/June 2027
Successful completion of 2026 CIB COO Analyst Program
Strong academic achievement
Demonstrated interest in finance and financial markets
Strong analytical and communication skills
Proven ability to take on significant responsibility
Relevant internship experience
Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
BA/BS degree with an interest in any of the following: Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Technology, Communication, Accounting, Mathematics, Analytics, Political Science, Pre-law, Government, Policy and Management, Management and Risk Management or related business field

Pay range
Charlotte, NC: $70,000 annual
New York: $86,000 annual
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
