Description
The City of Berkeley is now accepting applications for a Systems Accountant to join the Finance Department! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to improve financial systems for the City and its customers. Working closely with financial operations staff and coordinating with the Department of Information Technology, you will bring efficiency and innovation to software solutions and business processes while ensuring that financial controls remain strong. The successful candidate will use their analytical skill and knowledge of modern data systems to improve workflows, enhance access to critical information, and safeguard the City’s financial assets.
See the full job specification here: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/berkeley/classspecs/105564A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position is:Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business administration, management information system, or a closely related field and three (3) years of professional accounting experience, and two (2) years of experience in computerized financial systems including project management experience related to computerized financial systems implementation and maintenance.
