The Head Finance Biosimilars ESO provides critical financial leadership to the Biosimilars External Supply Organization (ESO). Acting as the primary finance partner to the Head ESO Bio and Head ESO Injectables/GLP-1, the role drives strategic decision-making through financial insights, performance management, and cost governance. Through strong business partnering and financial stewardship, the position supports the achievement of business objectives while enabling operational excellence and long-term value creation. Leading a high-performing global team, the Head Finance Biosimilars ESO ensures alignment between external manufacturing strategies and financial priorities, helping to drive efficiency, transparency, and sustainable business performance.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Work closely with the Bio ESO organization to support target achievement, risk mitigation, and compliance.
Play a critical role in shaping the Bio manufacturing network and supporting key business decisions.
Support the transition of contracts from BD&L to ESO accountability, understanding cost implications and maximizing contract value.
Participate in the Bio Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, translating demand plans into financial implications and recommendations.
Lead the development of analyses that address business and senior management requirements, ensuring alignment across planning and reporting activities.
Drive collaboration and alignment across Finance teams while providing high-quality, timely financial information and analysis to support decision-making and control.
Oversee planning, management reporting, and data flows across relevant systems, ensuring accurate, timely, and effective cross-functional reporting capabilities.
Lead a high-performing team and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of finance processes and operations.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Essential and Desirable Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred, with CPA or equivalent certification highly desirable.
10+ years of progressive finance experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, development, technical operations, or other highly regulated environments, including exposure to complex global operating models.
Fluency in English, with strong written and spoken communication skills.
Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of commercial contract structures, pricing mechanisms, and business conditions.
Deep understanding of GxP-regulated environments, external manufacturing operations, and network economics.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with the ability to translate complex financial insights into clear business recommendations.
Strong analytical capabilities and experience with SAP, SAP BW, advanced Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications, gained within multicultural and international environments.
