Waste Connections is seeking a motivated Driver Helper to join our growing team in Acworth, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the transportation and waste management industry. As a Driver Helper, you'll work alongside an experienced CDL Driver, learn the business from the ground up, and have the opportunity to obtain your Class A or Class B CDL for future advancement.

Pay & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Average 9-11 hour shifts
- Occasional Saturday work as needed

Key Responsibilities
- Collect residential and commercial solid waste along designated routes.
- Safely load waste and recyclables into collection vehicles.
- Assist the Driver with route navigation and customer service.
- Direct and guide the Driver during backing and other tight-space maneuvers.
- Perform traffic control and maintain a safe work environment.
- Operate truck equipment used to compact and secure waste materials.
- Conduct pre-route equipment inspections and identify safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Desire to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Waste industry, construction, landscaping, delivery, warehouse, or labor experience is a plus, but not required.
