In technology strategy at PwC, you will specialise in developing and implementing strategic plans to leverage technology for business growth and innovation. You will analyse market trends, assess organisational needs, and provide guidance on technology investments and initiatives. Working in this area, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align technology strategies with overall business objectives to increase utilisation of technology resources, driving competitive advantage.

  • Develop transformative strategies to help clients navigate digital disruption and reimagine their organizations for the future. 

  • Support the delivery of business-led technology transformation programs that place users at the center, leveraging agile design, development, and implementation methodologies. 

  • Lead and contribute to discussions with business and technology decision-makers. 

  • Help others think critically and communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing. 

  • Collaborate and contribute as both a team member and team leader, including providing coaching, feedback, and guidance to support professional development. 

  • Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, including researching and analyzing client, industry, and technology-related issues, while applying strong problem-solving skills. 

  • Contribute to the development of technology strategies and roadmaps that enable clients to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to create business value. 

  • Assess and prioritize AI, advanced analytics, and automation use cases based on business value, feasibility, risk, and organizational readiness. 

  • Support the definition of operating models and governance frameworks that enable the responsible and sustainable adoption of AI technologies. 

  • Participate in digital and technology maturity assessments and develop strategic recommendations to accelerate transformation initiatives. 

  • Help clients align business strategies, operating processes, organizational models, and technology capabilities. 

  • Contribute to the design of Target Operating Models supporting digital transformations, ERP initiatives, S/4HANA programs, and other large-scale enterprise transformations. 

  • Assess organizational, operational, and technological impacts of transformation initiatives and support change management activities. 

  • Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and value realization models to support technology investment decisions. 

  • Define and measure expected benefits from technology initiatives, including key performance indicators, efficiency gains, and business outcomes. 

  • Support business development activities, including proposal development, responses to requests for proposal (RFPs), and client account growth initiatives. 

  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership, service offerings, methodologies, and intellectual property related to technology trends, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. 

 

What You'll Bring 
Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for: 

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, either in consulting and professional services or in an industry role. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA or other advanced degree is considered an asset. 

  • Experience conducting maturity or needs assessments, identifying and prioritizing opportunities, and developing roadmaps and implementation plans aligned with business priorities. 

  • Experience defining and implementing Target Operating Models, including IT operating models, governance frameworks, and supporting processes. 

  • Experience in digital transformation, IT function transformation, business process improvement, or business-technology integration. 

  • Understanding of the end-to-end technology value chain, including applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS delivery models. 

  • Knowledge of enterprise technology architecture, design, and solution development, including information management, data, infrastructure, and applications. 

  • Understanding of methodologies, processes, and tools used for technology solution development and delivery, including Agile approaches. 

  • Experience with, or a strong interest in, generative AI, intelligent automation, emerging technologies, and their application to business value creation. 

  • Understanding of the AI lifecycle, including opportunity identification, feasibility assessment, data readiness, adoption, benefit realization, and responsible AI principles such as security, privacy, transparency, and risk management. 

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: IT strategy, IT governance, portfolio management, ERP, cloud computing, data and analytics, cybersecurity, or artificial intelligence. 

  • Ability to structure complex or ambiguous problems, perform rigorous analyses, develop executive-level recommendations, and build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business executives and technology leaders, along with a strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with technology trends. 

  • Scrum Master (and other Agile certifications), PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, or other relevant technology certifications would be considered an asset. 

  • The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
