We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations & Compliance Manager to join our Corporate HR team in Irvine, California. This is a highly visible role for an HR professional who thrives on solving complex employee relations issues, conducting workplace investigations, managing leave and accommodation programs, and ensuring HR practices remain consistent and compliant across a multi-site organization.
This position will serve as the primary point of accountability for employee relations casework, FMLA/ADA administration, workplace investigations, corrective-action review, and key HR compliance and reporting activities across Global.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Serve as the primary HR resource for employee relations matters across Global locations, providing guidance and consultation to site HR teams.
- Lead workplace investigations from intake through documentation and resolution, ensuring findings and records are thorough, consistent, and defensible.
- Review and provide guidance on corrective and disciplinary actions before issuance.
- Manage FMLA and other statutory leave administration, including eligibility, required notices, tracking, and return-to-work coordination.
- Manage the ADA interactive process and accommodation requests in partnership with employees and management.
- Lead Global's quarterly internal HR compliance audit program and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Support the accuracy and compliance of EEO-1, VETS-4212, and Affirmative Action Plan reporting.
- Develop and maintain standardized employee relations, investigation, leave, and corrective-action protocols and documentation across company locations.
- Train and provide functional guidance to site HR personnel on employee relations and compliance processes.
- Partner with Finance and Contracts on HR-related government contracting compliance matters, including SCA wage determination consistency and DCAA-related documentation requirements.
- Support personnel actions involving cleared positions as needed.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with an emphasis on employee relations, investigations, and leave administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, and leave administration.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and Title VII.
- Strong knowledge of investigation methodology and documentation practices.
- Ability to independently manage sensitive and confidential employee matters while partnering effectively with leadership and HR teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
