You'll gain experience serving new people as different families visit, but you get the comfort of seeing the same residents' faces each day! As a Culinary Aide/Server you will provides exceptional food service to residents, guests, and team members by preparing, serving large quantities of food and beverages in accordance with menus, dietary specifications, food safety/sanitary standards and organizational policies. Supports kitchen operations, resident dining experiences and hospitality initiatives. Availability to work every other weekend and holiday rotation is required.

 

 

Culinary Aide/Server Overview:

• Serves and prepares food in accordance with established portion control procedures that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties and ensures work area and surroundings are clean and free of debris and clutter
• Assists in the kitchen in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures to ensure that quality food service is always provided
• Completes resident meal service on a timely basis Maintains appropriate levels of equipment, supplies, food, and beverages at each assigned workstation
• Helps keep food storage areas clean and properly organized
• Washes dishes and disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility and state guidelines, using equipment such as the dishwasher and disposal
• Provides excellent customer service within established guidelines across all campuses
• Prepare made-to-order breakfasts, prepares and plates of desserts, and make sandwiches and salads
• Supports safety, sanitation, security, and maintenance programs that help ensure quality food service for residents, guests, and team members, and coordinates food service activities
• High School Graduate/GED preferred
• Experience providing quality customer services: including needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer services
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities: simultaneously, has the ability to prioritize work and resolve emergencies as they may occur
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective working relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team member
