Description

Join us and be a vital part of achieving Hempel’s ambitious Digital Transformation Strategy.

At Hempel we have business in mind and people at heart. We always work together to influence our road ahead. We want you to be part of our growth journey and of a great, global family.

Are you ready to take on a role as part of our Integrations Team in driving the design and development of digital solutions?

Then join Hempel’s Digital Integrations Team in Pune, India to bridge the gap between technology and business objectives, ensuring that digital initiatives align with organizational goals and deliver value.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, governing, and guiding the implementation of integrations within the Hempel Integration Layer (HIL) - our Enterprise Integration Service Architecture built on Microsoft Azure Integration Services.

Please note: This role requires demonstrable, hands-on experience designing enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Integration Services. As this is a specialist technical role, candidates without practical Azure Integration Services architecture experience are unlikely to be suitable.

This is a hands-on Integration Architecture role requiring strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure Integration Services and close day-to-day collaboration with developers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Enterprise Architects, business stakeholders and external partners. The successful candidate will be expected to define integration architectures, provide technical direction throughout delivery, and ensure implementations align with Hempel's enterprise integration standards and architectural principles.

Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Azure Data Factory/Data Flows, and Event Grid is essential. The role also requires strong knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF) and the ability to design secure, scalable, resilient and reusable integration solutions.

The main tasks you can look forward to being involved in are:

  • Design and own integration architectures for enterprise integrations using Microsoft Azure Integration Services.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Project Managers and Solution Architects to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

  • Provide day-to-day architectural guidance and technical direction to development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

  • Ensure all solutions align with Hempel's Enterprise Architecture principles, integration standards and governance guidelines.

  • Architect integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Data Factory/Data Flows and related Azure services.

  • Apply the principles of the Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF) and promote their adoption to ensure solutions are secure, reliable, performant, operationally efficient and cost optimised.

  • Promote reusable integration patterns, reference architectures and common design standards across the integration landscape.

  • Review solution designs and code implementations to ensure architectural compliance and technical quality.

  • Analyse existing integrations and identify opportunities for optimisation, simplification and modernisation.

  • Support integration testing, deployment planning, production readiness and operational handover.

  • Produce and maintain high-quality architectural documentation and technical guidance.

  • Stay up to date with Azure Integration Services and emerging integration technologies, sharing knowledge across the team.

We are looking for a passionate candidate with great communication skills:

You are a proactive and technically strong Integration Architect who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. You are equally comfortable discussing business requirements with stakeholders as you are providing hands-on technical guidance to development teams. You are confident making architectural decisions, promoting best practices, and ensuring solutions are delivered in accordance with enterprise standards.

The main requirements for the role have/are:

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions, with at least 3+ years in an Integration Architect, Solution Architect, or Lead Integration Consultant role.

  • Proven experience defining integration strategies, reference architectures, standards, and best practices across enterprise platforms.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business, project, solution, and enterprise architecture teams.

Mandatory:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Integration Services.

  • Strong expertise in:

    • Azure Logic Apps

    • Azure Functions

    • Azure API Management (APIM)

    • Azure Service Bus

    • Azure Event Grid / Event Hub

    • Azure Data Factory & Data Flows

    • Azure Storage Services

  • Deep understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), API-led architectures, event-driven architectures, messaging, and distributed systems.

  • Experience applying the Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF), including Reliability, Security, Performance Efficiency, Operational Excellence, and Cost Optimization.

  • Proven experience designing scalable, reusable, secure, and maintainable integration solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of Azure cost optimization, performance tuning, monitoring, and operational support.

  • Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code using Azure DevOps.

  • Ability to provide technical leadership, architecture governance, and guidance to development teams.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience integrating with SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle, or other enterprise applications.

  • Knowledge of security best practices, API security, Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and RBAC.

  • Experience with B2B integrations (EDI, AS2, SFTP, REST, SOAP).

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or related Azure certifications.
