Job Description:

The Group Transformation Partner is a pivotal member of the Group Transformation Office (GTO), a central function established to drive and coordinate large-scale transformation across the organization. The GTO’s mandate is to accelerate delivery of structural cost reductions, enhance organizational effectiveness, and optimize transformation outcomes across entities and functions. As a Group Transformation Partner, the role holder will act as a trusted advisor and execution partner to business and functional leaders. They will bridge the central GTO and business units, ensuring that transformation programs are strategically aligned, effectively designed, and rigorously executed to meet the group’s 2026–2027 strategic objectives.

The purpose of the Group Transformation Partner role is to enable and deliver high-impact transformation initiatives across the group by collaborating with entity leaders, functions, and cross-business teams. This role provides both strategic guidance and hands-on execution support to ensure that transformation outcomes are measurable, sustainable, and aligned with financial and strategic ambitions. The role contributes directly to driving structural cost reductions, enhancing operational effectiveness, and embedding a culture of accountability and performance.

Degree-level education required; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.

• Professional certifications or qualifications in strategy and transformation-related fields.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

• Deep experience in business transformation, strategy, or finance roles within complex, global organizations.
• Experience in the energy sector and deep understanding of bp’s strategic priorities preferred.
• Proven track record in leading or supporting large-scale change programs.
• Consulting background or equivalent internal transformation experience highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across strategic design and execution phases.

Please note that this role will move to brand-new offices in Timber Square, Southwark around Q4 2027.

Future Location Notice:  This role will start in St James' Square, London. bp has announced a planned office move to Timber Square, London, with all positions currently advertised in St James' Square, including this one, expected to relocate around Q4 2027-Q1 2028.
