Description
Help Dog Owners. Make a Difference. Be the First Friendly Voice They Hear.
Do you enjoy talking with people, keeping things organized, solving problems, and helping others during stressful situations?
If so, we'd love to meet you.
Dog Gone Problems is Omaha's leading positive reinforcement dog training company. Every day we help families build better relationships with their dogs through in-home training, behavior consultations, puppy classes, and our low-volume dog daycare.
Every phone call you answer helps connect a family with the training and support they need to build a better relationship with their dog.
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people while keeping a busy schedule running smoothly.
This position will begin part-time (approximately 20–30 hours per week). As our scheduling needs evolve over the coming months, we're looking for someone who has the flexibility and interest to transition into a full-time role.
As the first person many clients speak with, you'll set the tone for their entire Dog Gone Problems experience. Whether someone has a brand-new puppy or is struggling with a dog displaying challenging behaviors, you'll help guide them to the right service while making them feel heard, understood, and confident they've called the right place.
You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have Experience In:
We're especially interested in candidates with experience scheduling appointments or coordinating customers in fast-paced environments such as:
- Medical offices
- Dental offices
- Veterinary clinics
- Reception or front desk positions.
- Home service companies (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, restoration, etc.)
- Customer scheduling or dispatch positions
Previous dog experience is helpful, but not required. This is an administrative position, although there may occasionally be dogs and puppies hanging out in the office. We're much more interested in finding someone with excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a genuine desire to help people.
If you're someone who enjoys helping people, solving scheduling puzzles, and making every client feel they've called the right place, you'll probably love this position.
What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls from dog owners.
- Schedule in-home training and behavior consultations.
- Enroll clients in puppy classes and daycare.
- Coordinate schedules for multiple trainers.
- Respond to emails and customer inquiries.
- Keep detailed records and maintain accurate scheduling.
- Help create an outstanding customer experience from the very first phone call.
The Ideal Candidate
You'll probably enjoy this position if you:
- Love talking with people.
- Stay calm when things get busy.
- Are highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Learn new software quickly.
- Enjoy solving problems.
- Take pride in your work.
- Like working as part of a team.
- Want your work to make a real difference in people's lives.
Schedule
This position starts as a part-time position (approximately 20–30 hours per week) with opportunities for additional hours as our company continues to grow.
If you're looking for a career where your work genuinely helps both people and their dogs, we'd love to hear from you.
