About Goodyear

We’re dedicated to producing, innovating, and servicing the best tires in the world. For over 125 years, Goodyear has led the way in developing smart solutions that shape the future of mobility. Today, we’re one global team united by bold thinking, relentless drive, and a passion to exceed expectations. If you’re ready to embrace change and make an impact in your career, let’s go.

Why This Role Matters

As a Transactional Buyer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in purchasing and procurement within a dynamic, international business environment.

You will support transactional purchasing activities related to indirect spend, working closely with stakeholders, buyers, and suppliers. Throughout the internship, you will gain valuable exposure to purchasing processes, supplier management, sourcing activities, purchase order management, and stakeholder communication.

This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in developing a career in procurement, purchasing, finance, business, or supply chain management.

The internship lasts for 6 months and is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule and a hybrid working arrangement.

Subject to successful performance and business needs, there may be an opportunity to extend the collaboration or transition into a full-time role at the end of the internship, provided that the intern is available and interested in continuing their professional development with Goodyear.

What You'll Do

  • Support transactional purchasing activities for indirect spend, ensuring compliance with company policies and service level agreements.

  • Review purchase requisitions, identify suitable suppliers, and support simplified sourcing and bidding activities.

  • Create and process purchase orders, ensuring alignment with contracts and approved terms and conditions.

  • Monitor purchase orders and deliveries, follow up with suppliers, and keep stakeholders updated on order status.

  • Support supplier relationship management, including preferred suppliers and vendor information.

  • Guide stakeholders toward existing contracts and catalogues and support expediting, open-order monitoring, and order closure.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, buyers, and suppliers to resolve inquiries, support purchasing processes, and provide relevant information or training.

What We're Looking For

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance and Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and other relevant business tools.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • A reliable, well-organized, and self-motivated approach to work.

  • Interest in developing knowledge and experience in procurement and purchasing processes.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with different stakeholders.

  • Fluency in both spoken and written English.

We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. If you are currently studying and looking for an opportunity to gain practical experience while building a strong foundation for your future career, we encourage you to apply.
