Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Intake Coordinator in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener supporting a leading technology data center location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, documenting activity, and communicating professionally with site stakeholders. Your attention to detail and customer service will help deter security-related incidents while supporting critical operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, contractors, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles entering the data center location; verify credentials and access authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry points, visitor activity, and access-control systems; document and report unauthorized access attempts, policy violations, and unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
