The Sponsorship in Programming (SIP) Coordinator coordinates processes to ensure the integration of Child Sponsorship and Community Sponsorship programming essentials at the cluster level.
The position leads coordination with the National Office and Zonal Office on Sponsorship Integration and collaborates with Area Programs (APs), partner organizations, and other Wahana Visi Indonesia functions to ensure compliance with Sponsorship in Programming requirements and Sponsorship Essentials. The role also facilitates cross-functional integration to ensure sponsorship data is triangulated and utilized to inform programmatic decisions that address child well-being issues and maximize meaningful child participation across WVI Indonesia’s Area Programs.
The position supports WVI Indonesia in strengthening sponsor engagement by ensuring the development of compelling, integrated, and coherent sponsorship stories that combine authentic child perspectives with evidence of change. These stories communicate the needs, progress, and improvements in children’s well-being resulting from sponsorship integration within Area Programs. The role also supports Area Programs in linking Sponsorship Integration activities with child participation, life skills development, child voice, advocacy, influence, and community-led care and protection initiatives.
The outputs of this role contribute significantly to World Vision’s global sponsor retention and acquisition efforts by ensuring the availability of high-quality child and community data and information that enhance sponsors’ experience and engagement with the organization. Through effective management and use of sponsorship data and information, sponsors are provided opportunities to establish and strengthen relationships with sponsored children and their communities.
The position reports to the Sponsorship in Programming Lead and supports the effective implementation of Child Sponsorship requirements and Sponsorship Program Integration in alignment with World Vision global standards and organizational initiatives to revitalize sponsorship through digital platforms.
This role requires strong facilitation, coordination, and influencing skills to support capacity building and strengthen WVI Indonesia staff and stakeholder understanding of World Vision Sponsorship and Sponsorship Excellence. The Sponsorship in Programming (SIP) Coordinator is responsible for supporting all Area Programs within the current cluster model, as well as any additional Area Programs established in the future.
All staff are expected to contribute to Wahana Visi Indonesia’s Transformational Development, Advocacy, and Emergency Response approaches, and may be required to support emergency response efforts in a timely, coordinated, and accountable manner.
Strategy Development & Planning
- Contribute to Sponsorship Team’s engagement in organizational strategy planning and reporting processes
- Generate, analyze, and establish trends based on Horizon Hope. Horizon Hope reports on MVC status and CWB issues and submits to SIP Lead as a basis for analysis and recommendation for Operations programming purposes.
- Holds a good understanding of all WVI Indonesia TPs and are included in the sponsorship integration scope effectively and appropriately.
Resource Acquisition & Management/ Engagement/Project Management
- Ensure the implementation of Sponsorship in Programming and MVC mapping and Sponsorship Essentials in AP Level.
- Lead Sponsorship Information Officer (SIO) in AP cluster model to implement sponsorship standards and sponsorship in programming in AP Level.
- Manage and monitor systems and processes on sponsorship RC Participation and its’ mapping.
Capacity Building/ Technical works
- Facilitate ToT of Sponsorship Basic Training for DP (SBT4DP), Micro Project and new approaches to AP and PARTNER ORG staff.
- Coordination with sectors and other relevant departments for SIP integration, 100% RC reach and timely address of the CWB needs through programming.
- Create and maintain a working environment that encourages critical thinking, learning and feedback, and strives to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of Child Sponsorship and Community Sponsorship communications and products.
Accountability & Quality Assurance
- Review and ensure the quality of community engagement and sponsorship elements in Annual AP Planning processes.
- Ensure that all business processes and operational activities that are associated with integration of Child Sponsorship and Community Sponsorship programming essentials in projects/programmes are following WV’s global standards
- Lead the identification, assessment, prioritization and mitigation of all risks associated with integration of Child Sponsorship and Community Sponsorship programming essentials as per WV global standards and key performance indicators
Networking & Coordination
- Coordinate and monitor the integration of Child Sponsorship and Community Sponsorship programming essentials with programming in compliance with WV global standards and key performance indicators
- Coordination with Program Coordinator (PC) and community volunteer for SIP integration, 100% RC reach and timely address of the CWB needs through programming.
Management & Leadership
- Develop and manage annual business plan and budget for Sponsorship operational in AP.
- Submits periodical accomplishment report
- Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department.
- Provide line management for Sponsorship team, including performance management, coaching and capacity building.
- Provide Christian leadership and support to enrich the organization's life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.
- Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.
- Ensure that all implementations are carried out and risks related to Sponsorship are effectively managed in accordance with organizational policies, guidelines, and standards. This includes risks related to fraud, safeguarding, and other associated risks.
- Bachelor's degree in social science/ development studies/ Sociology/ International Relation or any relevant field.
- Knowledge of World Vision’s Technical programmes and transformational development, organizational policies and standards, including Child Sponsorship standards, LEAP3
Requirement
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar or equivalent positions in development sector or sponsorship-focused organization
- Understanding of poverty issues, development theories and sustainable development practices
- Excellent written and oral communications skills including presentation and reporting skills in Bahasa and English
- Will be required to travel at least 60% of the time
- Willingness to work outside office hours especially when traveling and working with sponsor/donor visits
- Able to work in a professional office environment and use computer equipment for extended periods.
- Capable of conducting field visits, community meetings, training sessions, and monitoring activities for extended periods.
- User experience with WV’s data management and information platforms such as Horizon.
- Experience on World Vision’s Development Programme Approach
- Computer and Technology literacy; Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Strong experience in using technology including information management database software and platforms.
- Strong analytical skill: think strategically and analytically; provide guidance, solve problems; and make appropriate and timely decisions
