PBX (Switchboard)
The PBX/Switchboard Department serves as the hospital's central communication hub, providing 24/7 support for patients, visitors, and staff. The team manages incoming calls, emergency communications, overhead paging, and critical notifications while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring timely, accurate communication across the organization.
Provides exceptional customer service by answering and directing incoming calls, assisting patients and visitors, monitoring emergency phones and alarm systems, and processing work orders accurately and efficiently. Ensure timely communication of critical information while serving as a professional point of contact for hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
Job Description:
Answer and direct incoming calls while providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
Greet and assist visitors with professionalism, courtesy, and accurate information.
Respond promptly to emergency alarms, codes, and other critical communications.
Process work orders and maintain accurate documentation.
Utilize hospital communication systems efficiently while maintaining technical proficiency.
Follow hospital safety policies, emergency procedures, and patient safety standards.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
