About the job
The Insurance Risk & Finance Advisory team works with insurers on the pre-sales / customer engagement on activities revolving around analytical and reporting challenges on topics/solutions like IFRS 17,actuarial modelling, capital management, reserving, pricing and ALM. The team also supports broader insurance transformation, including modernisation of actuarial lifecycle processes and the use of advanced analytics for areas such as fraud detection and prevention.
This is an overlay role. Local Account Executives and pre-sales teams own the account relationship, you are brought in as the insurance domain authority on strategic pursuits and key customer engagements.
The team supports both new opportunities and the existing customer base, helping customers evolve their current SAS investments, adopt more modern capabilities and identify where SAS can address new business challenges, relaying such needs or requirements and working together internally with Product Management and R&D.
You will work across the customer journey, partnering with Sales, Services, Product Management, R&D and our customers to help turn opportunities into successful outcomes and build long term value from the relationship.
The role
You will act as the insurance domain and solution advisor across strategic opportunities and key existing accounts, working alongside Account Executives and local pre-sales teams from early discovery through solution positioning and ongoing customer engagement.
You will lead customer conversations to understand business priorities and challenges, translate them into relevant SAS solution approaches, and shape demonstrations, workshops and POCs that show how SAS can address them. This includes established Risk & Finance areas such as IFRS 17, actuarial modelling, reserving and pricing, as well as broader opportunities around actuarial process modernisation, insurance decisioning and fraud analytics.
A key part of the role is working with our existing customer base. You will engage with customers to understand how their business and technology needs are changing, identify where existing SAS solutions can be modernised or extended, and help develop new opportunities that build on the customer's current investment.
You will remain involved beyond the initial sale, working across Sales, Services, R&D and partners to help customers successfully adopt and evolve their SAS solutions, address issues that may put the relationship at risk, and identify the next areas where SAS can bring value.
You will also help shape what we take to market by bringing customer needs and market feedback back into the organisation, contributing to reusable demos and solution assets, and representing SAS in customer and industry discussions.
