Overview
As a PCR Quality Control Supervisor II, you will oversee daily PCR Quality Control operations, ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and timely product release. This position supports commercial manufacturing, raw material testing, stability studies, investigations, and new product introductions (NPIs).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading daily PCR QC laboratory operations and testing priorities.
- Managing staffing, training, cross-training, and performance development.
- Ensuring timely review and approval of QC data, investigations, and quality records.
- Supporting production, NPIs, and increasing PCR business demands.
- Driving continuous improvement, productivity, and lead-time reduction.
- Partnering with Manufacturing, QA, MSAT, Planning, and Supply Chain to ensure uninterrupted product supply.
- Maintaining compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and quality system requirements.

- Ensures uninterrupted manufacturing support and product release.
- Maintains compliance and data integrity.
- Develop a high-performing QC team.
- Drives continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Serves as the primary escalation point for PCR QC technical and quality issues.
What You Bring:
- Education: BS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field (MS preferred).
- Work Experience: 5+ years in QC, QA, manufacturing support, or regulated laboratory environments.
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience with GMP, FDA, ISO 13485, product release testing, and manufacturing support.
- Strong knowledge of qPCR, RT-PCR, ddPCR, nucleic acid testing, and protein analysis.
- Experience with investigations, root cause analysis, equipment qualification, and validation.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is preferred.
- Experience with investigations, change controls, CAPAs, and nonconformances is preferred.
Location: This position must be based in Hercules, CA and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $96,600 to $132,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
