Job Details

Join the Cleveland Clinic team where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and make a lasting, meaningful impact on patient care. Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.

Cleveland Clinic Innovations' Venture team builds and invests in companies spun out of Cleveland Clinic and in outside companies that partner with the Clinic, spanning life sciences, medical technology, and digital health. This fellowship gives someone early in their career a seat inside that process: sourcing, diligence, deal structuring, and the early work of building a company from clinical and scientific insight.

A caregiver in this position works flexible day shift hours. You will work 10 hours per week.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Support diligence on live deals and new venture formation across therapeutics, medtech, and digital health
  • Pull together clinical, scientific, technical, and commercial analysis that helps answer the questions in front of the team
  • Write disease-area and technology overviews, map competitive landscapes, and track relevant trials and product pipelines
  • Dig into clinical and technical datasets — efficacy, safety, trial design, patient populations, endpoints, reimbursement — and benchmark them against comparable programs
  • Turn diligence work into clean PowerPoint pages, charts, and investment committee materials
  • Track companies, finances, clinical data, and regulatory developments.
  • Help the team prep for calls with KOLs, clinicians, founders, and advisors — building question lists and summarizing takeaways afterward
  • Assist with early-stage venture formation, including scoping the market and competitive landscape around technologies coming out of Cleveland Clinic
  • Research, compile, tabulate and analyze data and processes for various administrative and departmental matters.
  • Assist department personnel in assigned administrative, planning, organizational, technical and professional tasks.
  • Provide suggestions or recommendations about department specific projects.
  • Prepare and present reports and draft policies and procedures, respond to requests for information.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Ability to discuss and weigh pros and cons and separate critical issues
  • Ability to make definitive choices, express opinions on issues and explain logical path decisions
  • Current college enrollment

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Early-career candidates, or those pursuing an MS, MBA, PhD, or MD, with genuine interest in life sciences, medtech, or digital health investing

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling/lifting items, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires frequent standing and sitting.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
