Job Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Food Testing to lead and manage the Food Testing Division while overseeing analytical testing, method development, quality control, and laboratory performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in food and pharmaceutical analysis along with proven laboratory leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Food Testing Division.

• Perform and oversee analytical chemistry testing of food and beverage products.
• Develop, validate, and optimize testing methods.
• Ensure quality control of internal standards and testing regimes.
• Drive divisional KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of testing accuracy, productivity, and turnaround times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in analytical chemistry and testing.
• Expertise in food and pharmaceutical product analysis, method development and validation, and quality control systems.
• Strong laboratory leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with urgency and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to quality.
• Sound knowledge of testing and inspection processes and turnaround time management.
